This website www.hotelfermai.com (“Website”) is made available to you by Quatro Company d.o.o., Makarska ulica 20, 21000 Split, Croatia hereinafter referred to as “Heritage Hotel FERMAI”, “we” or “us”. We comply with data protection legislation such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which regulates the processing of personal data relating to you and grants you various rights in respect of your personal data. The aim of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about how we will use your personal data you provide to us through this Website, in connection with hotel bookings, your stay at Heritage Hotel FERMAI as well as personal data provided and/or collected by us through other channels. We also inform you about your rights under applicable data protection law with respect to the handling of your Personal Data by us. Before providing us with Personal Data, we recommend that you read this Privacy Policy.
By using any of our products or services and / or accepting this Statement, for example, in the context of registration for any products or services, you consent to the collection and use of personal information as described in this Statement. This Declaration is subject to change, and the date of the latest amendment is indicated in the title Declaration.

Use of the Website Whenever you navigate our Website, data about you is collected and processed. We collect the following data: Information related to the browser or device you use to access our website / IP address / Country you are browsing from Browsing habits, including sites visited / Age / Marital status / Other demographics and statistical information The data is collected through the session cookies (with regard to cookies see cookie policy) we use on our Website. It is anonymized before we use it to build anonymous utilization profiles, for marketing purposes and to optimize our Website and the services we provide. Booking a room
When you book a room, we collect Personal Data, which includes:
Your selected dates / Number of rooms in the reservation / Number of people in the reservation (adults and children) / Age of children / The rate/special offer selected / Any add-on packages selected / Your full name / Your address, including city and country /Your e-mail address / Your credit card details / Optional information / Arrival Information / Room, Bed type and/or other preferences / Telephone / Mobile
Personal Data is used to handle your reservation and to establish and fulfil our contract with you. This includes verifying your identity, taking guarantee and/or payment information, and sending stay-related and/or marketing communication.
Protecting your Personal Data is important to us and therefore have kept the mandatory required fields to a minimum.
When booking and arriving at our facility you agree to provide your identity card or personal information (name and surname, type and number of identification document, gender, country and residence and birth, citizenship and date of birth) for the purposes of tourist records in information the system of tourist boards of the Republic of Croatia for entry and exit of tourists – eVisitor (Law on Residence Tax NN 152/08). The content of your personal data is collected for the purpose of statistical data processing and is intended solely for tourist communities, public institutions and ministries which are involved in this process (Ministry of Tourism – Tourism Inspection, Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Finance – Customs Administration). Any unauthorized use, publication, processing, processing, reproduction, display, transfer, distribution, recording or any other form of unauthorized use of your data is strictly forbidden.
With your signature, you agree to scan your ID when signing in. Scanning your ID will serve us solely to provide the best possible service and your security. After your checkout from the hotel, these documents are deleted from the system.
Newsletter and special offers

The protection of your data is ensured by entering into the standard contract clauses in the text approved by the European Commission. Furthermore, Rocket Science Group LLC has obtained a certificate in accordance with EU-US Privacy Shield and is therefore deemed to provide an adequate level of protection of personal data. Mailchimp uses cookies and other similar technologies for tracking users to find out if a newsletter has been delivered to a specific email address, whether it has been opened, and whether the recipient has clicked on the link contained in the email. The described policy allows us to monitor the effectiveness of sent newsletters and our marketing campaigns. You can get in contact with us via our Website by using the “Contact Us” functionality, or by telephone. To contact us you are required to provide the following information: Your full name / Your zip code / Your telephone number / Your e-mail address / Your enquiry / Recaptcha, to confirm you are an actual person, and not a robot.
Any additional information (e.g. home address) is provided voluntarily. This information is used to reply to your enquiry.

Blog
In our Blog, we publish articles on travelling. The blog allows you to post public comments. If you submit a comment, it will be published with the corresponding blog post and your username. Posting comments on our blog is entirely voluntary.

Business partners and employees of business partners
For the purpose of communicating with our business partners and suppliers, for which we have a legitimate interest, we collect contact details of business partners of physical persons, contact details of persons authorized to represent legal persons and contact details of their employees we are in contact with in our business relationship. We do not collect any personal data from our business partners, but only official contact information (name, family name, work place, official telephone or mobile phone, email address) that business partners regularly make available to other entities as part of their regular business. When we are in a contractual relationship with a business partner who is a physical person, in addition to the above information, we may collect other data necessary for the execution of contractual and legal obligations (e.g. billing, payment and reporting on public affairs related to work contracts and copyright contracts and for the realization and defense of legal requirements that may arise in connection with a contractual relationship).

Job application at Heritage Hotel FERMAI
If you are interested in working at Heritage Hotel FERMAI, you can sign up at careers@hotelfermai.com. Heritage Hotel FERMAI handles the personal data of candidates, whether the candidates voluntarily apply to a published job advertisement for a specific position, or submit an open application. The personal data of the candidate will be processed for the purposes of selecting the candidate for employment (review of received applications, contacting the candidate for the purpose of calling for a test and interview). You can give us your consent to process your data only for the purposes of the specific selection process, but also for the purposes of future employment. For future employment purposes, we will contact you only if you have sent us an open application or you have given your application for a specific open position. Please provide only the information relevant to your application and selection of candidates (name and surname, date of birth, residence and contact information, completed education and work experience) in the documents you submit as attachments, and protect your privacy by avoiding the delivery of surplus data.

Video surveillance
We use video surveillance for the following purposes:
to protect the safety of guests and other persons who, for whatever reason, find themselves in the area under the control of the Company and their property, control of entries and exits from work rooms and premises and to reduce worker exposure to risk of burglary, burglary, violence, theft and similar events at work or in connection with work, protection of the Company’s assets, to prevent unauthorized access to the premises of the Company, reducing risks and increasing the protection of individuals in dealing with currency exchange transactions. We apply the video surveillance system to our legitimate interest in protecting people and property. We’ve introduced strict rules that aim to ensure that the shots are automatically deleted after a 7-day delay by dubbing newer content, that access to the video surveillance system is only available to persons who are required to perform their tasks, and that the shots are viewed only in case we know it exists a justified reason for achieving one of the foregoing purposes (with the approval of an authorized person), whereby only footage relevant to such reasons may be exempted and retained longer, while there is a need for it. Samples obtained via the video surveillance system will not be delivered to third parties unless there is a request or order from the competent state body (e.g. police, state attorney, courts, and labor inspectorate). Records may be used as evidence in court, administrative, arbitration or other equivalent proceedings, in accordance with the applicable procedural rules applicable to such proceedings.

We may collect and process Personal Data about you, if it is relevant for your stay at Heritage Hotel FERMAI or if it is in your interest. We may collect and process certain additional data to personalize your stay upon your express request and consent.
When providing us with personal information of other persons, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person whose information you provided has given us the information and accepts the way we use personal information. In the event that we do not collect your information directly from you, but from any of afore mentioned persons, we may only be responsible for what we are undertaking with personal information from the moment we collect them. We are not responsible for activities that your personal information is being taken by the people we received your information from, so please read the privacy policies of other people you provide personal information.

Your consent to our ‘Personalize your Stay’ option
You have the option to enable Heritage Hotel FERMAI to find out more about you to improve your unique and personal experience by opting for the “personalize your stay” option. Only if you have expressly consented to this option we are permitted to conduct further research on you, in particular on publicly available social media entries and the internet. We do not undertake any research, in particular on social media or the internet if we have not obtained your express consent for this option.
If you consent to the “personalize your stay” option we may undertake additional research and record and use the respective information to make your stay more personal. We will not collect any information which is embarrassing to you or inappropriate under, or not compliant with, local standards, conventions and habits or which are incorrect. You may withdraw your consent at any time for the future by contacting us under the details of the contact section.

Personal data collection without your express consent
If you have not provided your express consent to the “personalize your stay” option, we do not undertake additional research and do not record and use respective information. In such cases, the Personal Data we collect is limited to information we have gained from you personally or by hotel personnel during your stay. The information relevant for the stay at Heritage Hotel FERMAI (e.g. preferences to rooms). We do not undertake any additional research on you in this case, in particular, no research on social media or the internet.

Sharing Personal Data
Your Personal Data may be shared:
Within Heritage Hotel FERMAI to fulfil our contract with you or to the extent you consented to such sharing of data, for example. This includes verifying your identity, taking payments getting in contact and communicating with you. With our commercial partners in the event that you book a room or an activity organized by such commercial partners. With our third party service providers who process your data on our behalf. Heritage Hotel FERMAI third party service providers hosting providers and providers of data analysis, IT services, and other similar services requested by Heritage Hotel FERMAI to provide the Website and other business-related services to you. Any data processing on our behalf complies with the applicable laws. We will not transfer your personal data to third-party recipients unless you consent to such transfer of data or such transfer is permitted under applicable law.

Transfer of Personal Data to a third country
Where information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are implemented. What kind of security measures for the compliance with data protection?
Heritage Hotel FERMAI applies reasonable policies and procedures for the protection of personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration or destruction. Even though we undertake our best efforts, we cannot guarantee the absolute protection of your data. To the greatest extent possible, access to your information is limited to those who need to have access. Persons who have access to personal data are required to protect their confidentiality. Personal Data in accordance with the current state of the art technologies, especially to protect the data against loss, falsification or access by unauthorized third persons.
However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. So, whilst we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal data we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access. As far as third parties (i.e. external companies) are rendering data processing services for us, we have committed them to the compliance with our data privacy regulations. The external service providers are supervised by our Global Data Protection Manager in terms of compliance with these regulations.

Your rights related to personal data processing are as follows:
the right to access personal information (ie the right to receive information about what your data is processed and details of their processing). Before we give you this information, and to avoid potential misuse, we may ask you to prove your identity,
the right to correct personal data, the right to delete personal data, the right to limit the processing of personal data, the right to object to processing of personal data based on our legitimate interest, the right to data transfer, the right not to apply to you a decision based solely on automated processing, including the creation of a profile. In this connection, we want to point out that we do not apply such a way of making decisions, the right to withdraw your consent. The ability to exercise the above rights depends on the reason and basis on which we process your information. For example, in the event that we are legally obliged to keep personal information for a specified period, we cannot delete them, even if you require it. Upon receiving your request we will proceed within one month of receipt. In case of a complex request or if we have received a large number of requests, we will notify you that our request for action will take longer than one month, and we will certainly act upon your request within three months of your receipt. Your request can be accepted or rejected if we evaluate it as unfounded. In the case of placing claims that are manifestly unfounded or excessive, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act upon the request, which we will notify you in advance. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory body, whether in Croatia or another EU Member State. Retention and deletion of Personal Data
We will retain your personal data only for a limited period of time needed to fulfil the purposes of processing mentioned above. After that time your personal data will be erased. If we process your personal data based on your consent we will retain your personal data for a limited period of time needed to fulfil the purposes of processing it. Where we enter into a contract with you, we will keep your information for the duration of the contractual relationship you have with us, and, to the extent permitted, after the end of that relationship for as long as necessary to perform the purposes set out in this notice. The criteria to determine the storage period are statutory and contractual requirements, the nature of our relationship with you, the nature of the data concerned and the technical requirements. Laws may require us to hold certain information for specific periods. Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests).
